governments!
The West
Virginia Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America, Inc. (WV-PVA)
purchased the New River Campground in November of 1998. WV-PVA
was founded in 1990.
Paralyzed Veterans
of America was chartered by Congress and founded in 1947. Since
then, it has been in the forefront of organizing and ensuring
quality care, rehabilitation, and assistance to veterans with spinal
cord dysfunctions. In addition, Paralyzed Veterans of America assists
all handicapped individuals through a broad range of programs
designed to allow them fuller access to society. In the United
States alone, more than a quarter of a million people have spinal
cord injuries.
